Funny how my brain works.

This is for you "Sodapop". Man! I wish we could sit and watch "The Outsiders" together or perhaps take a ride to Palos Verdes and breathe in. Be together in silence...or not.

Back then when we were just kids, we used to speculate about our lives and who we'd turn out to be. I guess we were just eager to get there, here...whatever. Look at us, so damn far away and so damn close. You've kept me there all this time and you can be damn sure you have been here all along. Change after change.

It kills me not to be there with you. It kills me not to be able to slap you silly and make you fall head over heels for me. I could, you know I could. Maybe, things would be different. Maybe, just maybe...you'd stop pretending and the real you will step out.

You've never been able to fool me and perhaps, that's why I'm still there with you, by your side. Reminding you of who you truly are.

Whatever course this "issue" takes, I'll be there... soon. Very soon.
