Your timing sucks

How freakin' ironic!!! Two damn
years...and NOW????!!!!!

The timing is ALL wrong.

Is it some sort of radar men are just born with? I'll never understand it. It's almost as if some sort of alert goes off in their heads when we're happy and over them and they just have to try to screw it all up.

But...you're a few months a little too late.

Ally Mcbeal

"We're women, we have double standards to live up to." - Ally Mcbeal

Positive Influences

Miguel González, Sergio Corona y Leonardo Galindo
I have always thought that your first experience (job) as a carreer motivated professional (semi-decently paid employee) will determine the outlook and performance you will achieve from that point on. I was lucky enough to come across with 3 men that not only do I respect professionally wise but on a personal level as well. Their warm and kind human nature set the standard for the young Silvia they took under their wing. I could never re-pay the lessons they taught me and that will always endure.

Mike: By far the most preseverent, result driven, team player and tool provider I have ever met. He'd NEVER help...he'd teach. On top of this, he has been the most spiritual person I have met. Always preaching with example and striving every day to make good men out of his two sons. His faith has made him unbreakable. He belongs to a comittee that grants one last wish to children with cancer on a terminal phase. It wouldn't matter how "out there" the wish would be, him and his team would do whatever was in their hands to make it come true. And I have the privilege to call him MY friend.

Sergio: That little man can be anything but. He has accomplished so much. Knows every trick on the book and recognizes NO BOUNDARIES to what he AND his team can do. He pushes every button to be pushed, extinguishes every resource to be extinguish and drives whom ever needs to be driven to the edge to see results met. He's gained the scorn of many people, but the utmost respect from us who have worked with him and shared the success he has worked so hard for. All this and still manages to lead a healthy, vice free, fitness filled life. Spend time with his 19 yr. old son and assist to early development classes with his 3 yr. old daughter. Not only does he have time for all of the above but he still treats his wife like his girlfriend. Calls in the middle of the day to ask her on a date. Sends her flowers on their kids birthdates...just for giving birth to them. All this after having been married for over twenty years. Is there a way I could not possible feel the admiration and respect I feel for this man?

Galindo: The very first person I remember meeting on my first day at G.E. was Leo and his huge smile. It is because of him that I know what the real meaning of sense of service means. He'd always lend a helping hand not caring who it was. The workers at the shop had so much respect for him because he was probably the ONLY person in that plant that would never overlook their presence. He knew everyone's name. If I had to stay late because I wasn't finished with a project, he'd stay with me and help. He'd be determined and analytical in EVERY aspect of his life. He'd never litter, would NEVER buy a pirate CD, because being the musician that he is, he just has too much respect for music to do that. When he'd talk to his younger brother on the phone (he lived in another state), he'd never hang up without telling him how much he loved him.

It's been over 2 years since I left G.E. and we still call, write and see eachother when possible. How lucky am I to have had the chance to work with these 3 amazing beings? They were definitely a positive and motivating force within my life and will always be.
